Using this site safely
If you're worried that someone else — a partner, family member, or anyone else — might see what you've looked at on this phone or computer, here is some honest information about what this site can and can't do to help.
Quick exit
Every page on this site has a Quick exit button, and you can also press the Esc key at any time. This is an ordinary link that takes you immediately to an unrelated website, and it works even if this site's other scripts fail to load.
Quick exit cannot delete your browsing history, and it cannot hide the fact that you visited this site from someone who has access to this device — for example, through browser history, search history, or monitoring software. It also can't stop someone using the "back" button — we don't do anything that changes how "back" behaves, and we won't claim otherwise.
The safest way to use this site
- If possible, use a device the person you're worried about doesn't have access to — for example, a friend's phone, a library computer, or a work computer.
- Browsing in a private/incognito window reduces what's saved in your browser history on this device, but doesn't hide your activity from someone who can see your screen, or from network-level or device-level monitoring software.
- Clear your browser history afterwards if it's safe for you to take the time to do so.
- Consider whether a shared browser is set up to sync history to other signed-in devices.

If you are in immediate danger
This site helps you find support organisations — it is not an emergency service and can't respond quickly to danger.
If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 999. If you can't safely speak, listen to the operator's instructions and press 55 when prompted on a mobile to be transferred to the police silently.
We don't diagnose your situation
This site never tells you what you are or aren't experiencing. It's designed to help you find organisations that can talk it through with you, whatever "it" is.
